TCA-YWAM Austin     September 17, 2017 Topic: Building a Culture of Honor – Reconciling Relationships into a Supernatural Loving Family.   (Compiled by Jon Dorris) (Permission granted for anyone to use freely)   We are going to be working on building TCA up in its Culture of Honor.   God will use this effort to create TCA into a Supernatural Loving Family.   This is what the whole world is longing for.   Let’s PRAY FOR IT.   Intro Q – Have you ever had a fight with a friend?   Q- Was your relationship with them broken?   Q- Did you ever reconcile with that person?   Q – Do you like God giving you mercy, grace, and forgiveness for your messes?   I certainly do.   -So let’s work on creating a culture of Grace, Honor , and Love for one another.   -Psalm 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! … For there the Lord commanded the blessing—life forever. -The Supernatural Blessing FLOW.   EX. A couple of my broken Friendships   Proverbs 18:19 Offended: A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city, And contentions are like the bars of a castle.   BUT:   1 Peter 4:8 Love: Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.   -Cathy C.   -James T.   Peacemakers: Q – Does this world that is full of hate and racial violence need PEACEMAKERS? Romans 12:18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.   -Sons of God take full responsibility for their thinking and behavior, therefore work to keep all relationships reconciled, while a slave mentality only does enough just to get by.   Galatians 4:4-7 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, 5 so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.6 Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.   We are secure in God’s love for us (as we saw last couple weeks)   So let’s pass on the love to others and create a SAFE FAMILY environment   Safe to be yourself   Safe to make mistakes   Safe to help each other grow from mistakes   =Jesus’ LIGHT testimony to the world.   Galatians 3:26-27 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.   Therefore we are clothed with Supernatural LOVE (Jesus).   John 13:34-35  A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”   -God is calling us up to a higher level to walk with him as sons and not as an immature child or slave.       Galatians 5:13   For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.   Our gentleness & humility can SET OTHERS FREE!   So let’s start with us   Ask God who can I go be supernaturally reconciled to IN JESUS’ LOVE?   THEN GO – humbly admit your fault in the relationship break.             -Tell the person you really are sorry for hurting them (wronging them)             -Ask them to forgive you.             -Don’t demand anything of them (in this 1st step).             -Thank them for forgiving you.             -Leave it there and let God work.    EX. -   End with the Bethel Story (2 students asking forgiveness = Supernatural Reconciliation     Alter call           -Stand if you have a relationship you feel God wants you to reconcile with           -I will pray for us all to have the Holy Spirit’s Supernatural LOVE to prevail.   Discussion Questions Q-Have you ever experienced a relationship reconciled?   Q-Did you like the outcome of it?   Q-Is there a relationship in your life that you would like to see restored?   Q-What can and what WILL you do to work towards reconciliation of that relationship?   Pray for each other for this restoration.
