(Compiled by Jon Dorris) (Permission granted for anyone to use freely) Intro Why should I make Jesus Lord when I am already going to heaven, since  I accepted Jesus into my life? Your choice: Loser or Lordship of Jesus -A Loser’s focus loses in the end -“wow its too late now, but I should have made Jesus Lord” -Lordship focus gets transformed by Holy Spirit during your life, without a lot of effort  from you – the Holy Spirit does it.  (Jesus pointing 2 fingers for our eyes to lock on His) “You can have lunch and Eternity NOW”  - Just keep your focus conscience focused on Jesus NOW =simple Paradigm shift in our thinking priority  -Listen to the Holy Spirit in your conscience  D-an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one's  behavior -Holy Spirit will help you do it – just give Him a chance by your choice of letting Jesus be  Lord. -It starts with a choice: “Jesus I want you to be Lord of my life – just know I  can’t change myself – BUT GOOD NEWS: -That choice attached you (you as a branch) to Jesus the VINE -Now trust the Holy Spirit will help you.  Vision of the Holy Spirit river. and our surrender to Him.  1. -John 15:1-11 (Lordship) = your joy will be made full 2. = Galatians 2:20     = Phil. 2:13 -He can work through our conscience if we will let Him.  3. -Then HS changes you little by little -Romans 5:10 saved/sozoed by His Life living in us.  -SIMPLE – if we will just let Him by our choice to have Him be our Lord 4. = we reign in life through Jesus  -Romans 5:17b EX. As a young Christian I really wanted a girlfriend / wife.  -So I started talking to God about it -I started just where I was – a pretty rough new Believer -God I want ____    _______    __________   in a wife.  -I kept talking to God about it -He was changing me little by little since my choice to make Him Lord helped keep  me FOCUS on Jesus -Finally it came down to “God just give me a wife after your own heart” -and He did = my joy made full -I got Jesus and Tanya out of the deal.  PIC of Tanya at wedding Q- So where do you want your FOCUS to be? What are the focuses of this world system in the USA? -What am I having for lunch? -I want a boyfriend / girlfriend -I want to hurry and get back on Facebook -I want to get rich -I will worry about eternity later EX. Chan’s video testimony of young man switched focus to JC, but his friends did not –  died in car accident -OR Kyle’s story -He shifted his FOCUS after resurrection The Plan Rap all around the parable of the 4 soils and the Mk 4:26-29 easy and good IF we make Jesus Lord. -3 soils focus robbers & FOCUS ON SOLUTIONS Rap all around Holy Spirit Lordship focus -A sower sows the word in us (God, Bible, Speakers, etc.) -See the word -Hear the word 1. Mk 4:14-15 “beside the road”, not on it = Satan steals away the word that saves and  transforms you -Isa 35:8-10 -An interpretation is: NO Jesus Christ Lordship = satan can steal  word from you -Solution – Make Jesus Lord and let Him guide and change you as He  lives through you (Galatians 2:20) 2. Mk 4:16-17 “rocky places”,  -An interpretation having a hard heart towards God (offended, etc.) =no deep work of the Word of God by Holy Spirit -Solutions: -The 1 Bible chapter per day, 5 days/wk helps keep our focus on Jesus -Holy Spirit chips away at the hard heart -Gathering with other Loving Believers = helps each other keep our focus on  Jesus (-More solutions under good soil) 3. Mk. 4:18-19, “among the thorns”  -Bible’s interpretation: -Worries of the world -EX – Wars, disasters, crime, etc.  -The deceitfulness of riches -wrong motives for pursuing good goal of PhD -I can solve all my problems IF I had a lot of money -Wealthy people without Jesus most of the time are miserable -The desires for other things -Making the good thing of girlfriend/boyfriend – marriage an IDOL -People pleasing versus God Pleaser 4. Mk. 4:20 “good soil” -they hear AND Receive it (D- accept, receive, embrace with assent and obedience -hear the word AND START DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT -one of many Solutions: -Start day with THANKING God for something EX-“God I thank you that you love me and that your mercies are  new every morning”.  -“I thank you that You forgive my sins and  let me have a ‘Do over’ ” -Praise Him for at least 1 thing He is (His character attributes) EX – “God I praise you for being all powerful and can help me do  all things in Christ who strengthens me.” -Read the word (1 ch / day 5days/wk) -Regularly talk to God about the word -Thank and praise Him (powerful weapon against enemies) -Ask His help  -Gather with other Believers  -Encourage each other -hold each other accountable -Say “You are better than this. Let me help you climb out of that -James 5:16 pray for each other = fruitful 30, 60, & 100 fold -start by being faithful in a little and it grows Mk 4:26-29 just keep sowing word into your self = Joy made full John 15:11 -Keep your FOCUS on God & how strong He is to HELP YOU IN EVERYTHING End with EX. –Graham Cooke singing to witchdoctor “I can’t get no satisfaction” -(The African Pastors all ran away a left Graham alone with witchdoctor) -He said God honored his spirit of stupid and used the song to scare off the  witchdoctor with GOD’s POWER since Graham was trying to FOCUS on  Jesus Alter call  -For salvation AND Lordship of Jesus -Pray for any needs
