(Compiled by Jon Dorris) (Permission granted for anyone to use freely) Goal is to -Go deeper in our heart devotion to God as His Friend (John 15:4-17) Point is to -Give God His dream in Rev. 21:2-3 Intro -What would you want in a best friend? (white board answers) -What would be favorite things you would like to do with your best friend? (white board answers) -What great adventure would you go do with your best friend? (white board answers) -God is looking for best friends. -He wants good things for His Friends -Ps 103:1-6 (Read together) -Do you want those benefits? A. Sons of Israel saw His amazing acts           -Parted Red Sea and delivered them from enemies           -Parted the Jordan and led them miraculously into promised land Q-Who knows about the promised land?           -Book of Acts full of God blessing people with supernatural God-acts                    -Peter’s shadow healing people                    -God’s people healing people                    -Setting people free from demonic harassment B. God made known His WAYS to Moses, His Friend. -Ps 103:7 Q-Do you like the A. stuff? Q-Do you want that with God? -You can set your heart to pursue this Friendship with God -Listen to what Jesus said a true Friend of God is and does:           -John 15:9-17 (take verse by verse) -At TCAEIF we want to give God His desire for true Friends of God. -So at the end of life in this age this is what it will look like: Read Vision Statement – Read Mission Statement - Alter Call -You can set your heart to pursue this Friendship with God Discussion Questions -What gets you excited about being God’s Friend? -What can (and will) you do this week to deepen your Friendship with God? -3 people in each group pray for all of us to live this message
