Build healthy horizontal connections

--

Jesus is the role model of two-fold alignments

--

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.

The requirement of horizontal alignment

--

Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work. So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

--

Environment is the touchstone of healthy horizontal connection

--

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. (箴言 Proverbs 17:17)

--

27:6 ) Faithful are the wounds of a friend. (Proverbs 27:6 )

--

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.(箴言 Proverbs27:17)

--

Two-generation walking together

--

Do not forsake your friend and your father’s friend, and do not go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity. Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother who is far away.(箴言 Proverbs 27:10)

--

Horizontal connection to fulfill the great commission(马太福音 Mat. 28:18-20)

--

The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’

Be a person of showing appreciation

--

give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
