Adversity and turning point

保罗和巴拿巴放胆说：“　神的道先讲给你们原是应当的；只因你们弃绝这道，断定自己不配得永生，我们就转向外邦人去。 因为主曾这样吩咐我们说：我已经立你作外邦人的光，叫你施行救恩，直到地极。

”外邦人听见这话，就欢喜了，赞美　神的道；凡预定得永生的人都信了。 于是主的道传遍了那一带地方。 (使徒行传13:46-49 和合本)

Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.

For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “ ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’

” When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed. The word of the Lord spread through the whole region. (Acts13:46-49 NIV)

The kingdom of God does not advance through favorable circumstances.

Humble ourselves and align our hearts with God in the times of hardship

3、 看到在困境之上神的掌权

See God’s sovereignty above and beyond our difficulties.

4、 在困境中顺从圣灵的引导

Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in the midst of adversity

在安提阿的教会中，有几位先知和教师，就是巴拿巴和称呼尼结的西面、古利奈人路求，与分封之王希律同养的马念，并扫罗。 他们侍奉主、禁食的时候，圣灵说：“要为我分派巴拿巴和扫罗，去做我召他们所做的工。” 于是禁食祷告，按手在他们头上，就打发他们去了。(使徒行传13:1-3 和合本)

Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul.

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off. (Acts13:1-3 NIV)
